Madison's Sexy Side of Cleansing
Bringing Out the Sexy Seductive Side of Holistic Healing
Lately I have been perusing the glossy magazines with the face cover of Atlanta’s most beautiful and influential. As I flip through the pages I am astounded by the number of advertisements for liposuction, tummy tucks, Botox, facelifts, butt lifts, eyelid lifts and flat bed truck lifts for whatever is obeying the course of nature’s gravity to the sagging, stretched, and ill-elasticized body part of what ails you. Actually, it is not just the number of advertisements, but the entire layout. Everything is soooo sexy, sensual, and wonderful. The models are flawless….from outside appearances.
In contrast, as I flip through the pages of the under radar holistic publications, there too I find advertisements for weight loss, body toning, wrinkle reduction, even libido elevation. These services are offered by some of the top therapists in their respective fields from chiropractors, acupuncture therapists, colon hydrotherapists, massage therapists and holistic gynecologists, just to name a few of the servants of preventative wellness.
These champions of self-help healing are able to address the same cares of our egotistical vanity AND create an anatomical ecology of health that will shape and permeate the temples in which we live. However, the holistic publications, although well meaning and informative, are nonetheless – hmmm, how I shall say….B.O.R.I.N.G!
Now, please don’t misunderstand me. I am 100% for preventative wellness and esthetic care. As a matter of fact, my intention is to bring it more forefront of the mainstream, but in a presentational packaging that welcomes the same invitation of seduction as our conventional slice, suction, and tuck “medical procedures”, only without the tissue scaring and extreme side effects.
I am so grateful for my ever expanding understanding of holistic health and healing. I am even more grateful for the applied practice of my understanding and bearing witness to how it has changed not only my emotional, mental, and spiritual health, but molding my body into a svelte brick house, smoothing my skin to a silken touch.
By taking responsibility for my personal health and esthetic care I am reversing my aging process to the life and vigor that can run circles around most 20 year olds. This is my passion and I am excited about the opportunity to share it with people that are searching for alternative solutions.
Let’s face it, who doesn’t want to feel and look sexy? Even better, who doesn’t want to just feel better? There are choices that are far less invasive than drug therapy or the operating table, but most people are not aware because of the media hypnosis of “corrective surgery” or pharmaceutical suppression of the body’s communicative tell-tell signs for help. And then too, there are those that are just not inspired to want to do different.
Welcome to The Sexy Side of Holistic Healing. Here you will find articles, blogs, and some unique aahh-haaa moments of enlightenment. The information shared in this ongoing dialog is not a quick fix to any particular situation. It takes time and effort. Sure you can wear it as something surface, but it will only satisfy you momentarily and before long you will be back to your old habits again. This is a lifestyle for a lifetime, not 3 months, 6 months, or until you loose those last 10 lbs. This is the real! Well, at least from my perspective.
Well diva’s and divo’s that’s it for now.
Until next time, I bid you Peace Passion Prosperity & Power!
The Little Known Natural Supplement Combination the Can Ease a Headache, Overcome Anxiety, Releive Constipation and Give You a Great Nights Sleep
Fiber and magnesium work together like hand in glove. If they were lovers, their vows to one another would be undying. The benefits of these two supplements, can actually alter the state of ones overall well-being. Fiber and magnesium together are also extremely beneficial for stimulating the elimination system to move.
Now, I'm not one to gossip, but I hear that CALM Magnesium is the best on the market (if I must say so myself). CALM is a powder form that you add to hot water and simply sip like a tea. It comes in some great flavors, yet it is a wee bit tart, but I find that if you blend a little organic apple juice to it, it is easier on the pallet.
Magnesium should be a staple in everyone's medicine cabinet / desk drawer / or the over night bag you keep in the back of your car (we all know what that's for - wink, wink). Reason why? Glad you asked. Well, magnesium influences much of your body's processes, including digestion, energy production, muscle function, bone formation, creation of new cells, activation of B vitamins and relaxation of muscles. lt also assists in the functions of the heart, kidneys, adrenals, brain and nervous system. Have you been experiencing challenges with any of these functions? It may be something as simple as a depletion of sufficient available magnesium in the body, which can interfere with any or all of these processes (including your libido - yep.). Magnesium also helps reduce constipation.I have worked with so many of my clients that have previously complained of daily bouts of fatigue / sleepless nights / constipation / headaches / irritablity / nervousness and muscle cramps or spasms. Once they began the ritual of late night CALMing toddies (and fiber), amazingly their symptoms seemed to "magically" subside. Hmmm, go figure!
Emotional stress, some pharmeceuticals (diuretics, antibiotics, birth control pills, insulin, cortisone), diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders and excessive calcium in the diet could possibly be attributed to a lack of magnesium.
Magnesium is also a gentle laxative that can help to prevent constipation by relaxing the colon walls when under stress, anxiety, or the burden of mental and emotional worries. Those fake chocolate squares and capsules that are suppose to releive your body of constipation can actually do more harm than good in the long run. That stuff is actually irritating your colon and dehydrating your body!
Magnesium helps to attract water into the colon making your stools softer and allows your colon to absorb water from your fecal matter if your body needs it.
Now some information about magnesiums lover - Fiber. Both soluble and insoluble fibers are necessary for regular bowel movements. Adding fiber with magnesium can greatly relieve constipation.
OK -- side note here: Fiber should be ALL natural. If you happen to go to the drug store to pick up one of those round cylinders of commercial fiber and it has stuff on the label you can not pronounce, or better yet, it has added color (FC Yellow #7,326) - really... think about it twice, thrice, and then again.
Studies support the benefits of the combination of soluble/insoluble blend fiber in alleviating constipation, but only with the consumption of an adequate fluid intake. This is where fiber's lover, magnesium comes into play as again, it helps to pull a lot of water into the colon.
High amounts of fiber, without fluids, can aggravate, rather then alleviate constipation. Because magnesium can help the body to draw water into the colon as well as relax the colon itself, it pairs very well with a high quality soluble/insoluble fiber supplement. So the next time you are feeling a little stagnate, or whether you are experiencing some other of the physical irregularities discussed, consider treating yourself to a hot toddy of CALM magnesium and a high quality soluable/insoluble fiber capsule or loose powder.
You may be surprised at how much better you will feel once you become intentional about taking care of numero uno. This is just one piece of the Sexy Side of Cleansing puzzle. Wanna play for the Diva or Divo bonus? Stick around. There is still a lot more yet to share!
Until next time, I bid you

And You Ask Why I am So Protective About How or With Whom I Share My Body???
So, you think parasites only exist in third world countries, well hold on to your bootstraps, Dorothy. You’re about to get a wake-up call. Almost everyone has parasites (Yes, O-perfect one, this possibly includes you too). It's simply a fact of life. Even Dr. Oz, (made famous by Oprah Winfrey) says..."ninety percent of humans will have a problem with parasites in their lifetime."
Parasites are not just something that other people get – a malady reserved for folks in third world countries. Everywhere we go, doing just about everything we do, we (yes, North Americans) are vulnerable to parasitic infestation.
The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies parasites as among the six most dangerous diseases that infect humans. These things even outrank cancer as the number one global killer, and account for many of the digestive woes from which people suffer (ie. gas / bloating / yeast / indegestion / constipation).
Your intestines provide the perfect breeding ground for parasites. They enjoy making their homes nestled within the impacted waste of your colon as well as in the linings of colon walls. Living inside our intestines, these microorganisms gain the upper hand by virtue of their sheer numbers – both in kind and in population. They thrive because of the unique ways in which they have adapted their life cycles in order to ensure the perpetuation of their species within their unsuspecting hosts: YOU. Parasites range from the stuff of late night horror shows – measuring in at several feet in length– to those that are invisible to the naked eye. And while they are fond of the colon, this is not the only place parasites can be found. Just about any part of your body is vulnerable to infestation: the lungs, liver, esophagus, brain, blood, muscles, joints, skin...and even your eyes! There are more than a hundred different types of parasites who enjoy living out their lives inside of human beings. In the United States alone, one-third of nearly six thousand fecal specimens tested came back positive for nineteen species of intestinal parasites.4, at the Parasitology Center, Inc. (PCI) in Tempe, Arizona.
It's important to remember that tests aren't conclusive unless they are positive, which could require the taking of many different specimens, at least three of each kind: blood, serum stool, and urine. Testing can become a time-consuming venture as much repetition can be required, and with so many different types of parasites, test results can be vague, inconclusive, and expensive.
Sometimes you can be infected without having symptoms; however, there are often signs, including:
Allergies to many different types of foods / Anemia (low red blood count) / Bloating / Abdominal swelling / Bloody stools / Bouts of diarrhea and inconsistent bowel habits / Flu-like symptoms such as coughing and wheezing / Foul-smelling stools that get worse in the afternoon and evening / Fever / Gas and cramping / Itching around the anus and/or nose, especially at night / Nausea / Vomiting / Weight loss with a ravenous appetite
Accepting the fact that parasites are nearly unavoidable, as well as recognizing the kinds of environments parasites enjoy and how they are transmitted, is the key to ridding yourself of them, and preventing further infestations. First, it's important to flush out your gastrointestinal (GI) system; a clean, hydrated, and toned colon goes a long way toward discouraging parasites to make their home in your intestines, as well as works to alleviate the unpleasant symptoms you are experiencing while under attack by a parasitic infestation.
Coping with parasites is best handled with a multi-pronged approach, which includes colon cleansing, increasing your fiber intake, a clean healthy diet, and understanding the sources in order to avoid re-infestation.
